Our shops in Whale Hill & Marske by the Sea have both passed the stringent 71 point examination which covers Customer Service, Marketing, Food Safety, Hygiene and of courser Food Quality. There are 12,00 Fish & Chip Shops in the UK, only 250 have the award meaning we have 2 shops in the top 2% in the country.

Pelican Jacks is a member of the National Federation of Fish Fryers (NFFF) and our proprietor has undergone an intensive in house course on Fish & Chip shop management run by the NFFF at their Headquarters in Leeds.

Frying Medium Management
Basically this is how we manage the oil in which we fry your Fish & Chips. We use only the finest beef dripping and we filter the oil in each of our pans EVERY DAY. This means we are frying in clean oil to ensure our food tastes just great.
